Welcome to my Website!
I’m weaving with words these days. The art baskets of my past told stories of flying away, of legends and of women and healing. Then I wove words right into the baskets. Finally, I curved willow strands into words.
And now here I am, weaving some of the very same words into stories of love and art and horses (again) and baskets and wonderful women.

About The Books
Women Artists of the Great Basin, with photographs by Susan Mantle
Thirty-two women artists scattered over 200,000 square miles introduce a powerhouse of three-dimensional art, art that is jam-packed with originality. A wave of women’s art has begun to cross the land with a giant brush, and nowhere have the winds of change been more evident than in the Great Basin, where a sense of freedom and rugged individualism has swept across the playas and through the cities and towns. You’ll meet artists of all ages and backgrounds, and you’ll discover their dynamic works and get to know them on a personal level. Their stories of overcoming great obstacles unfold right alongside images of their art.
Weavers of Tradition & Beauty
Did you know that basket making in the Great Basin is the longest continuing basketry tradition in the United States and possibly even the world? Weavers of Tradition and Beauty presents the stories and traditions of Great Basin baskets, told by the weavers themselves.
A Basket of Blessings is a perpetual calendar of non-denominational affirmations that will lift the spirits and ease the soul.
My mainstream novel, Hanging On, tells the story of a plucky but insecure woman who pushes forward despite misgivings and conflicts, many of her own making. Others generate from within the large Monahan family, and still others from greedy outsiders. You will root for Rennie and her brother, Ben, as they face small and monumental challenges.
